FLORIDA FARM SERVICE AGENCY SCHEDULES IMPORTANT PUBLIC MEETING FOR LEVY COUNTY FARMERS & RANCHERS

ANNOUNCEMENT

(Gainesville, FL) - January 18, 2012- USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) today announced that Tim Manning, State Executive Director for Florida FSA and members of his management team have scheduled a public meeting in Levy County February 3, 2012 at 10:00am at the Levy County Agriculture Center in the conference room located at 625 North Hathaway Ave. in Bronson, FL.

FSA`s public meeting will be the only one held to take public comment on USDA`s proposed office consolidation plan in which the Levy County FSA office is being considered for consolidation. Producers can also provide written comment by emailing mark.cotrell@fl.usda.gov or sending written comment to USDA Farm Service Agency, P.O. Box 141030 Gainesville, FL 32614-1030 no later than February 13, 2012.

All public comments will be taken into full consideration prior to development or implementation of a final consolidation plan.
