This is a grass roots campaign, the only special interest group is you, the Voter. I believe this is the time for real change. I, as you, do not wish to continue with the failed, `good old boy` system.
It is my earnest desire to see constitutional government returned to Levy County and, for this reason, I pledge to do everything in my power to give you, the citizens of this county the opportunity of voting For or Against a county `Charter`. Only you the voter should determine what
form of governmental representation you wish, not an elected official. My intent is not to destroy but to improve county government so that it is responsive first to it`s citizens and second to itself. This has not been the case in past years, nor is it now. As your County Commissioner, I have all intentions on using strict fiscal disciplines when spending taxpayer's dollars. I will work extremely hard and make every effort to hold the line on tax increases, achieve FISCAL ACCOUNTABILITY, and ELIMINATE WASTEFUL spending. I intend to work for and achieve a county employee`s "Bill of Rights," to insure job security from political retribution. I will strive to attract clean, quality industry to the area but at the same time remembering the natural way of life we have all chosen. It is my belief that our coastal and inland environments must be protected against unwarranted intrusion. I have always been in the forefront on environmental issues. I will make every
effort to improve county services and see that they are managed to their most efficient level with the highest quality of personal available. I will always use common sense in all regulatory functions, first and foremost keeping in mind my obligation to protect the lives and property rights of Levy County citizens. I am determined to bring forth progressive change to Levy County so ALL its citizens will benefit. I ask you to join me in returning Levy County Government to the citizens of this county. We need commissioners who will honor their oath of office with integrity and without fail. Together we can make that a reality and bring about real change.
