Pyrate Isle - New Business In Cedar Key

Pyrate Isle - New Business In Cedar Key

Amy Gernhardt

At 525 2nd Street in Cedar Key is a new storefront offering hot sauce, pepper jelly, honey and numerous gastronomic delights.

Begun as a web based venture, the storefront concept was integrated into the business plan of Carol Merritt and Whitney Merritt. Now, Jackie Jurcik, grandaughter, is managing the latest store front to open on Second Street in Cedar Key.

The offerings include clothing, and of course, pepper jelly. Recipe below:
Microwave a jar of pepper jelly until it liquefies, and pour over a brick of cream cheese. Serve with crackers or bread.
