Flooding in Rosewood

Flooding in Rosewood

Levy County Sheriff`s Office

According to the National Weather Center Levy County has received over 15 inches of rain in the past week. Levy County Citizens in the Rosewood area have seen their share of water. Businesses in the Rosewood area have had to close their doors due to the flooding.

The photo above was taken Friday, August 27, 2010. The business is the Viertel U-haul located at 7150 SW SR-24 and it is owned by Mr. & Mrs. Bill Viertel.

The Levy County Sheriff`s Office cautions motorists to be careful in their travels and watch for flooded roads. At this time there are no reports of any major roads that are flooded. If you need assistance and it is not an emergency please contact our office at 352-486-5111.
