Obituary

Joe "Swamp Thing" Ricker, 44 of Chiefland passed away Nov. 2, 2012 in Tampa as a result of injuries sustained in a traffic accident. He was born in Maine on July 28, 1968 but has spent most his life in this area. Joe was a truck driver and enjoyed coon hunting, bonfires and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Drema Ricker of Chiefland; sons, Johnathan Ricker of VA, Kevin Ricker of Chiefland; step daughters Tiffany Smith, Rosa Smith, step son Lane Larkin, all of Chiefland; mother Ethel Ricker of Bell; sister Melanie (Kenneth) Bass of Bell; sisters in law, Shelba Pierce of Chiefland, Tammy Guillmette of Tampa; brother in law James (Lois) Wells of Trenton; several nieces and nephews and his R.D.H. Trucking Family of Lake City.

`Joe`s Day` will take place on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012 at 11:00 AM at his home, 9491 NW 75th Avenue, Chiefland, FL 32626.
