The City of Cedar Key will be implementing a New Solid Waste and Recycling Program for all residential households. The Key changes are as follows: · Residential Solid Waste will be collected one (1) time per week on Mondays.
· Only Solid Waste in the Roll-out Cart provided by Waste -Pro will be collected.
· Additional volumes must be in a Cedar Key bag which will be available through a local City approved vendor at a cost of $2.00 each. Minimum purchase five (5) bags to a roll for $10.00.
· Residents must choose which size Roll-out Cart they wish to use. The sizes and corresponding prices per month are listed below.
· Recyclable Materials will be collected one (1) time per week on Mondays. Each resident will receive an eighteen (18) gallon bin in which to place recyclables. A list of acceptable materials to recycle will be provided with the delivery of your selected size Roll-out Cart and Recycling bin. You will have the option of receiving a second bin at no charge upon request.
· Please respond on or before June 7. If no response is sent you will receive the default size 64 gallon cart. Should you wish to change the size of the cart, you may do so, two (2) times per year the first year at an additional pickup and delivery fee of $10.00. The City of Cedar Key will be implementing a New Solid Waste and Recycling Program for all commercial entities. The Key changes are as follows: · Commercial Solid Waste collection times will remain the same.
· Only Solid Waste in the Roll-out Carts provided by Waste -Pro will be collected. Additional volumes may require additional carts. You may reduce the number of needed solid waste carts by using the new recycling carts that will be available.
· Businesses must choose what quantity of Roll-out Carts they wish to use. The frequency and corresponding prices per month are available at City Hall.
· Recyclable Materials will be collected up to two (2) times per week from businesses on Mondays and Fridays. A list of acceptable materials to recycle will be provided with the delivery of your Recycling cart. You must contact City hall to order these carts.
· Only recyclable materials in the carts provided by Waste Pro will be collected with the exception of broken down cardboard, which can be placed alongside the cart. A business must have a recycle account with the City to receive service.

Remember if you fail to contact the City on or before June 7, your current service level will stay in place. Waste Pro will be stopping by in late June to make sure you are receiving the correct service levels and make adjustments as needed. |
