Thanks to All

The Cedar Key Board of Directors wishes to thank the many people that make our paper possible. Our masthead proclaims "of, by and for the people," and as a membership organization we do depend on the whole community for our existence.

Our readers, of both online and print editions, continue to give us feedback. We thank them for that. The feedback lets us know when we do it right and otherwise.

We thank our contributors of articles. Over Cedar Key News` nine years of existence we have had literally dozens of contributed announcements, reviews, school news and features. Photos and more. (Do you have a candidate for Dog of the Week?)

We thank our members who generously support us with individual, family and sponsor membership. From the start, our membership has provided financial and operational guidance. Each year in March we meet to elect a Board of Directors and exchange ideas.

We thank our advertisers, without whom Cedar Key News could not provide local news, online and in print. One measure of our gratitude is our reduction in advertising rates, effective January 1, 2010. By charging less for advertising we hope to stimulate local business by bringing in more customers.

Along with our thanks to all, we wish everyone a prosperous and happy New Year.
