Student Art Show Opens

Jim Hoy

A month long show of Cedar Key School students` art opened at the Cedar Key Arts Center on May 2. First graders` reading rugs display the flair for color of the youngsters. Many media have been used. High school students produced animal masks that grab the viewer`s eye and tweak the mind.

An example of a second grader interpreting Sleeping Gypsys, a painting by Henri Rosseau.

Monkey mask with its creator, Steven Poole, who helped hang the show.

As always, Cedar Key News presents just a small, and hopefully enticing, look at the current exhibit.
