In a brief special meeting of the City Commission Tuesday evening, August 3, at City Hall, commissioners adopted a tentative millage rate of 3.6548 for fiscal year 2010-2011. The commissioners also approved dates for the first and final public hearings on the 2010-2011 budget, Tuesday, September 14, and Monday, September 27, both at 7 p.m. A schedule of budget workshops leading up to the September 14 and 27 meetings will be announced. Preliminary revenue projections for the 2010-2011 fiscal year are slightly under revenues budgeted for 2009-2010. The millage rate set for fiscal year 2009-2010 was 3.1355. |
