Pierce Kelley, a local author/attorney, announces the release of his latest book, Hiding in America, which is a sequel to both Massacre at Sirte and Hunted, the former of which won awards for both current events and theology last year. It, too, is a work of fiction about the problems which exist in the Middle East, North Africa, and now the world due to the actions of ISIS and the killings of innocent Christians. After beheading twenty-one Coptic Christians in Sirte, Libya in February of 2015, ISIS continues to target Christians in Egypt and elsewhere in the world, despite the fact that it has been militarily defeated in Iraq and Syria.

In Massacre at Sirte, ISIS spared the protagonist, Mekhaeil Zacharias, a 16 year old boy, and told him to tell the world what he had seen and what they had done to his fellow Copts.

There, he lived with Mar-Thoma Christians in the state of Kerala. He learned of Hinduism, Buddhism and of life on a farm. While attending the Maramon Convention, the largest gathering of Christians in the world, he was discovered and forced to flee, again.

This book, Hiding in America, received the following review:

“…young Mekhaeil Zacharias is now on a journey of self-discovery more than on a run from the ISIS terrorists who seek to kill him. He’s on a journey to find the truth of the nature of God. While hiding in the Big Apple, he tries to find his purpose in life. This is a thought-provoking and satisfying read.”
