Come share a little time with the art community of Cedar Key as we enjoy all the art produced by our community for the second Open Art Show of the year. This year the theme is “PASSION.”
What does “Follow Your Passion” mean to you? Let’s see how you, our area artists create that demonstrates your personal interpretation of the theme. Valentine’s Day comes but once a year. Don’t let it pass by without expressing your passion. Multi-media pieces and a full range of visual experiences are to be expected. Come check out the fun!
February Member’s Gallery artist is Connie Nelson. Connie and her husband, Kevin Hipe, happened upon Cedar Key thirty-seven years ago while they were searching for an ideal location to support their vision of an “artist’s life.” Connie grew into an award-winning artist at the artistic epicenter in the Northeast where she actively participated and was educated, influenced, and experienced art at such artistic hotbeds as Rhode Island School of Design and Bennington College. A pivotal exposure to the art scene in California allowed her to see that she needed to find her own way and her own voice as an artist. Lucky for us, she found it in Cedar Key. Please come see “All That We Are,” a truly delightful interpretation of 100+ individual pieces of art that Connie has created just for this show.
