OLD FLORIDA CELEBRATION OF THE ARTS... NOTE TO ARTISTS

Dear Artists,

We hope you’ve had a great summer and are planning to apply for the 2024 Old Florida Celebration of the Arts (OFCA) in Cedar Key, April 6 and 7.  Applications are open now via Zapplications.org.  Thank you if you have already applied.

We are happy to announce that the OFCA was named in Sunshine Artist’s 200 Best for the second year in a row (#69 this year to be exact). As you may know, this survey focuses solely on artist show revenue and will be published this fall (www.sunshineartist.com).

Our post-event artist survey results were also very positive again last year. Additional WIFI antenna and boosters, along with a new cell tower in Cedar Key have almost completely resolved internet access problems. Finally, since reducing the number of participating artists to 100 we have been able to provide generous spacing of booths to enhance artist & artist enthusiast engagement (with all booths against the curb as preferred by the majority of our participating artists). All this is topped off by our art focused advertising, top-notch amenities, and friendly volunteers.

An additional thanks to all of you who participated in the 2024 OFCA Design Contest (Theme – Feathered Friends). Congratulations go to Nancy Conners of New Smyrna Beach, Florida. The Design Contest winning artwork will be featured in festival promotions and the application and booth Fees for the event are waived.
