MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONY

A Memorial Day Ceremony will occur
in front of Cedar Key City Hall on Second Street
at one pm, Saturday, May 23, 2015.
Memorial Day is the United States of America’s national holiday designated to pay tribute to those who died serving in the military.
Memorial Day, formerly known as Decoration Day, originated after the American Civil War to honor both the Union and Confederate soldiers who died in the war.
The holiday was extended by the 20th century to include all American soldiers.
Marine Veteran Ivan Chubb will orchestrate the ceremony.
