National Safe Boating Week (NSBW) starts on Saturday, May 18 and runs through Friday, May 24. This kicks off the summer boating season in the US; however, here in Florida, boating season is pretty much year round. To enhance your safety, do remember the following tips.  The links provide more information about the reminder; they are thorough and helpful.

• Remember your checklist of required and recommended equipment.
• Start with your fuel tank full and practice good fuel management.
• Do not drink alcohol or do drugs while boating.
• Be aware of your surroundings.
