Jacklon (Jackie) Barber Heath Smith was born April 20, 1937 in Gulf Hammock, FL to Thad and Alice (Doll) Barber.  She was one of eleven children.  Jackie married Roy Heath on April 20, 1955 and they had five children: Danny Heath, Darrell Heath (wife Daphne), Ilene Heath Polo (husband Todd), Billy Heath (wife Mary Alice) and Milton Heath, who preceded her in death.  She had eight grandchildren: Danny Heath Jr (wife Shae), Candace Heath (who also preceded her in death), Josh Heath, Jordan Polo, Nicci Polo Johns (husband Chris), Faith Heath, Grace Heath and Brett Heath.  She also had 7 great-grandchildren: Madison Heath, Savanna Heath, Brooklyn Heath, Novalee Polo, Jeremiah Johns, Blake Johns and Abby Johns.  She is also survived by her husband, Robert Smith.

Jackie lived a full life and will be missed by all who knew her.  While our hearts certainly hurt we are all better for having known her.  Perhaps the greatest lesson she taught us was the importance of love.  This passage of scripture sums up her life well.  “Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude.  It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.  Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
