DORIS BIBLE KEMP PASSES AWAY
December 12, 2015

Doris Bible Kemp, a longtime resident of Cedar Key, passed away Wednesday December 9th at North Florida Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family.

Doris, along with her late husband Jim Kemp, started the Island Hopper Boat Tour and Boat Rental business in 1987. They ran the business together for more than 20 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Squires of Baxley, GA and three sons Patrick of Trenton, FL, Michael of Manatee Springs, FL and Timothy Bible of Crystal River, FL, as well as 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life memorial will take place on January 2, 2016 at 1 o'clock in the afternoon at the Cedar Key City Park.  A group lunch reservation has been made at Steamers Restaurant. The burial at sea will take place at 4 p.m.
