NEW CKPOTTERY 2019
EARLY, ABSENTEE VOTING INFORMATION
from Tammy Jones, Levy County Supervisor of Elections
August 9, 2014

For the upcoming Primary Election in Levy County, early voting will take place at the Supervisor of Elections office in Bronson (421 South Court Street, just south of the Courthouse) from 8 am to 6 pm August 11 to August 23, 2014. This includes both Saturday and Sunday during that period.

Voters will need to bring current and valid photo identification in order to vote. Most voters use their Florida driver's license.

Absentee ballot voting is another option for voters wishing to cast a ballot in the upcoming Primary Election. Voters must call the Supervisor of Elections office (352-486-5163) prior to August 20 to request an absentee ballot to be mailed.

Voters who wait until election day to vote must do so at their precinct. The Florida Legislature made changes to the voting statutes in 2013 regarding voting on Election Day, including the following:

Florida Statutes 101.62 (5)

Except as provided in s. 101.655, the supervisor may not deliver an absentee ballot to an elector or elector's immediate family member on the day of the election unless there is an emergency, to the extent that the elector will be unable to go to his or her assigned polling place. If an absentee ballot is delivered, the elector or his or her designee shall execute an affidavit affirming to the facts which allow for delivery of the absentee ballot.
