Mr. Jackson has been a coach for five years. Most recently he was at Rocky Bayou Christian School in Niceville, Florida where he was head basketball coach and assisted as a track coach. He now lives in Cedar Key and has an aunt and uncle nearby in Crystal River. He attended York College in Nebraska where he was a hurdler on the track team. Jackson admits to being a football fan with loyalty to the University of Alabama.

Looking forward to the Sharks' basketball season, November 24 is the first scheduled game. However, there is a possibility of a preseason tournament.

Two former Cedar Key teachers return for the new school year after teaching elsewhere in the Levy County school system. Cheryl Allen is teaching the fourth grade now. She taught the third grade in Cedar Key prior to a stint in the Bronson Elementary School. Emily Campbell who was formerly a Kindergarten aide in Cedar Key returns to be the lead teacher in the Pre-kindergarten class. Both Ms. Allen and Ms. Campbell are alumnae of Cedar Key School.
