NEW CKPOTTERY 2019
UPCOMING FESTIVAL FEATURES LOCAL ARTISTS – SATURDAY, MARCH 12, 2022
February 15, 2022
Mark your calendar for the fifth annual Lower Suwannee Art & Nature Festival, Saturday, March 12, 2022, Glen Dyals Park, 21354 SE Hwy 349, Suwannee, FL 32692.
We're in our fifth year of serving up a wonderful mix of local artists, artisans, and crafters with live music and a selection of food vendors. Perfect for a leisurely morning or early afternoon visit to the Lower Suwannee area. Look for paintings and photographs of Florida’s natural beauty, including coastal landscapes, water birds, aquatic life, plus metal and wood artists—then kick back at picnic tables under shady trees while you savor some local food and music.

“This is a celebration of the wonderful art and nature of our area,” says festival organizer and Suwannee Library Manager Jane Connors. “Come to the festival and discover the flavor of our area’s artistry at this open air event.”
The festival is sponsored by the Suwannee Library Technical Center, part of Dixie County Public Library. Glen Dyals Park is just outside the waterfront community of Suwannee and adjacent to the Lower Suwannee National Wildlife Refuge where festivalgoers can take a side trip on the wild side and hike, bike, or drive along the Dixie Mainline trail to see birds, butterflies, and other wildlife. Younger children will also enjoy the shady fenced playground area within the park grounds.

Vendor applications will be accepted until March 1, 2022 ,or until all spaces are allocated. Vendor booths are $30 per 10 x 10 space. Pictured here:This year’s event is dedicated to the memory of artists Gene Rantz (his 2020 LSAN Festival booth pictured above) and his wife Judy, both of whom sadly passed away in 2021. Gene was known locally for his iconic and evocative paintings of area water scenes. Judy was a fiber and jewelry artist whose work included paper art, sewn art, and exotic handmade beads and jewelry.
