Meet the Pirates: Headhunter Judd and Deepwater Donna

Submitted by CKPP Correspondent

The Cedar Key Pirates in Paradise "Meet the Pirates" column is a continuing series of articles to introduce Cedar Key to the pirates and pirate groups who are attending the Cedar Key Pirate Invasion September 13-15, 2013.

Headhunter Judd and Deepwater Donna hail from Jacksonville, Florida. They are independent pirates and do not belong to any particular crew. They took to pirating three years ago for the adventure and the camaraderie of the pirate community. They travel frequently to other ports to enjoy the hospitality of the pirates in St. Augustine, Cocoa Beach, Fernandina Beach, Tybee Island, and in September, they will visit Cedar Key.

When Headhunter Judd and Deepwater Donna are not pirating their alter egos Judd Stevenson, and Donna Wheeler spend their days at the courthouse in Jacksonville. Judd who retired after over 30 years with the Jacksonville Sheriff`s Office, now oversees the Juvenile Dependency Courtroom. Donna is a Court Reporter.

Look for this pirate couple when they visit Cedar Key during the Pirate Invasion Weekend coordinated by the Cedar Key Pirates in Paradise and sponsored by the Pirate Approved Purveyors.
